Past Alliance Agreements

The 2016 National GISERA Alliance Agreement between CSIRO, Australia Pacific LNG, Origin Energy, QGC, and Santos set the standards for the governance and operation of GISERA.

The previous Alliance Agreement (PDF, 1 MB) was fully executed on 4 January 2016.

A Variation to change the Alliance Term end date from 30 June 2018 to 31 December 2018 was fully executed on 24 May 2016.

A second variation was fully executed on 4 September 2018 to formalise the following amendments to the GISERA Alliance Agreement:

  • Extending the Alliance Term from 31 December 2018 to 30 June 2020
  • Removing the minimum annual Cash Contribution
  • Amending the National Advisory Committee to a National Stakeholder Roundtable Group
  • Updating personnel contact details.

A third variation to change the Alliance Term end date from 30 June 2020 to 30 June 2021 was fully executed on 15 July 2020.

A Deed of Novation was fully executed on 23 November 2017, under which the rights and obligations of Lattice Energy Limited (formerly Origin Energy Resources Limited) were novated to Origin Energy Upstream Holdings Pty Ltd which became party to the Alliance Agreement.

A Deed of Accession and Amendment was fully executed on 14 March 2019, under which Pangea Resources Pty Ltd were admitted as a party to the existing Alliance Agreement.

Past committees and groups

National Research Management Committee

The National Research Management Committee (NRMC) oversaw the finances and completion of milestones of all research projects approved by the then Regional Research Advisory Committees (RRACs).

Stakeholder Roundtable Group

The Stakeholder Roundtable Group provided an opportunity for national institutions to discuss with CSIRO’s GISERA about the social and environmental impacts and opportunities from Australia’s onshore gas development.
