Biodiversity workshop date claimer

As part of our biodiversity project on developing guidelines for the size of plant populations needed to maximise establishment and persistence of local species, we are hosting a workshop to gather information and data about the biology and ecology of identified species that will be used for modelling population viability.

This workshop aims to bring together conservation managers, field ecologists, academics, environmental consultants and regulators working with rare and threatened plant species in order to:

• identify plant species from Queensland CSG areas that are under management for plant restoration and biodiversity offsetting
• identify key life-history traits and ecological aspects for population viability of the identified species
• classify the species into several groups based on their life-history traits.

Guidelines for conservation management will ultimately be developed for the identified plant groups.

Venue: CSIRO boardroom at 70-72 Bowen St, Spring Hill, Queensland, Australia

Cost: This is a free event, morning tea and lunch will be included. Travel and accommodation are at attendees own expense.

Start: 10am

Finish: 3pm
