Community webcast # 2 – ten years of GISERA research

CSIRO’s Gas Industry Social and Environmental Research Alliance recently hosted a second community webcast to highlight research on potential impacts of onshore gas activities, conducted over the past 10 years.

To introduce the session, Dr Cameron Huddleston-Holmes (Principal Research Scientist and Queensland and Northern Territory State/Territory Leader for GISERA) provided a brief overview of CSIRO’s GISERA.

This was followed by two presentations around groundwater. Drs Axel Suckow and Matthias Raiber talked about aquifer recharge and connectivity studies undertaken in New South Wales and Queensland. Drs Rebecca Doble and Sreekanth Janardhanan then presented on a decade of GISERA groundwater modelling research in eastern Australia.
